I'm Irish, London based and largely self-taught (although I'd thoroughly recommend Creative Escapes if you want to take your photography to the next level).
Henri Cartier-Bresson said “your first 10,000 photographs are your worst”, so I took a 12-month sabbatical to Australia in 2010, bought myself a camera and took a lot of bad photos. Around 10,000 of them, in fact.
For me, photography is a passion rather than a profession, which means I shoot infrequently and selectively. I'm mainly interested in documentary, travel and portrait photography, with a strong leaning towards natural light.
